Makeup exp date (avon)?

I bought somethings for myself and a small gift of makeup for someone else. The thing is that the eye products are from 2009 or 2010. Well, the powder and blush say 2008, and I don't know if that means it's too old or what (It's never been opened and is all sealed). Is the 2008 and 2009 stuff all too old by now? All of it was still selling I think, but with the economy like it is now, I don't know.
