Can dreams follow you back to the real world?

I'm 22 and there's not a whole lot that scares me but the other day I got off work early and took a nap only about an hour. I was dreaming that some girl was bleeding and dying in my arms in some random house. Its really weird cuz at this point I remember something was trying to wake me up its like my mind knew I couldn't handle what was coming but it was an interesting dream so I didn't want to wake up. All the sudden a dead girl very very much like the one in the grudge or the started coming out of the wall in that hair mist like way from the movie, came up grabbed the girl and looked me right in the face. I woke up sat up part way and saw the same grudge type girl standing in my room maybe ten feet away from me clear as day but I guess I opened my eyes too fast cuz I started getting tunnel. Vision and everything got hazy. I knew I need to close my eyes to get my vision back I put my face in my pillow closed my eyes for a second opened them and looked again she was gone. It felt so real now I'm left with this extreme fear I can't explain I'm constently getting thoughts of her random images I'm worried this my start to control me
